Child Care Vouchers

10 Easy Steps for Employees


Check that your child care provider is Registeredand accepts child care vouchers.

Check out your personal tax position with HM Revenue & Customs.
Check out any potential effect on Working Tax Credit.

Decide how much salary you wish to exchange for vouchers.

Complete a Salary Sacrifice Agreement Form
(available from your HR/Payroll Department).

Complete an application to join the scheme.

Barringtons contact your child care provider to ensure the necessary arrangements are in place for payment of vouchers.

Your employer sends an order form to Barringtons each month detailing the value of vouchers required for each employee participating in the scheme.

You receive your voucher(s) with your payslip.
Check your payslip to ensure that the correct deduction has been made for your voucher(s).

Give your voucher(s) to your child care provider as payment.

Your child care provider redeems the voucher(s) with Barringtons.
